Deacons care for their flocks celebrating the joyful times as well as providing support in challenging times. Deacons are elected and ordained to a ministry of compassion sharing the love of Jesus Christ to those in need both within and beyond our community of faith. Deacons also serve by arranging memorial receptions, preparing communion for our worship services as well as in sharing communion with our homebound friends. Our Deacons also arrange and help with special needs such as meals, rides, and shopping through their Helping Hands ministry. Our congregation is divided into groups or flocks. Deacons maintain contact with their flock by email, cards, phone calls and home visits; also, by visits to those who are in hospital or nursing care with special attention to those who are home-bound.
