NEW PRAYER MINISTRY

First Presbyterian Church Port Angeles is beginning a new Prayer Ministry with a place for everyone. Whether you're active, homebound, or in-between, there's always a way you can uphold the church family, our community and God’s work in prayer. The Prayer Ministry Team welcomes all First Presbyterian Church’s members and friends to join us in this partnership of prayer. It is a privilege to stand with others in prayer, to see God at work as prayers are answered, and to thank God together. Our Prayer Ministry Team will meet on the first Thursday of every month from 3 – 5 pm in the old library at the church beginning on March 7th. We envision our times together as a time to pray specifically for our church and its leadership, our members’ and friends’ joys, sorrows, and needs, our community, state, nation and world as well as praying for God’s work around the world. If you would like to explore the possibility of becoming involved in a deepening prayer life and in the joy of intercessory prayer, or you would like to find out more about the Prayer Ministry Team, talk with Paula Mitchell, Susan Fisher or Tom Allen. To have a prayer concern placed on the Prayer List please email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call the church office at 360.452.4781. Anyone may write a joy or concern on a prayer card with confidentiality. Prayer Cards are available in the pew racks. Cards are collected during worship services. Prayer concerns are compiled in a Prayer List and prayed over by the Prayer Ministry Team. Prayers are followed up, so praises and updates are current on the prayer list.

New Sanctuary Flowers Ministry Beginning in January

Flowers beautify the Sanctuary of our church, and are a gift to God and those who attend our worship services. Flowers are not in the operating budget of our church; it is our hope that our members and friends will sign up to bring flowers. The bouquets will be placed on one or two pedestals next to the stairs at the front of the Sanctuary (depending on whether you sign up to bring one or two bouquets). The flowers will add subtle touches of beauty to our welcoming atmosphere. Donating flowers is a meaningful way to honor or remember a loved one or to celebrate a special occasion
Bulletin Announcement
Dedications will be printed every Sunday at the end of the worship bulletin. Due to the allocated space in the bulletin, your flower dedication will appear as follows: "The Sanctuary flowers are given today by [Given By] in memory/honor of [Name of Honoree]" or "The Sanctuary flowers are given today by [Given By] in celebration of [Event]." The Sanctuary flowers are given today by [Given By} in thanksgiving for [name or names of Honoree].
Sign-up Sheets
We’re looking for donations throughout the year. If you’d like to sign-up for a particular Sunday to bring a bouquet of flowers, please use the sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall. Thank you for blessing our sanctuary and worship service! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the church office.
