Mission Committee Focus

The Mission Committee has served by seeking the will of God in helping to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Thanks to the faithful giving of our members we provide thirteen percent of our church budget to mission projects locally, nationally and globally.

First Presbyterian Church of Port Angeles serves in these ways:

Support for Presbyterian Missions, both in our Northwest Coast Presbytery and through Presbyterian Church (USA) missions worldwide at the General Assembly level.

Support our primary missionary teams and are blessed to have these primary recipients, the Pearsons under Wycliffe Translators, the Benders under New Tribes Missions, Dr. Martha Sommers under the PCUSA Missionary Agency and the Hongos under Christian Vision, who give updates of their work periodically by visiting us or by other correspondence.

Support for our public schools- with both volunteers and dollars.
Support for the Friendship Dinner where meals are provided for over 100 people at the Methodist Church four times during the year.
Support for the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Presbyterian Schools in Pakistan, The Answer for Youth, MANNA, Habitat for Humanity, Kairos Ministry and National Association of Mental Illness and many others.
